In about 15 minutes you'll have an AI employee that knows your business. It answers questions on your website and hands warm leads to your team.

Before you start

  • Your website address and one useful document, such as an FAQ or price list.
  • Access to edit your website, or someone who can paste one line of code.

Steps

1. Create your free account

Go to app.aivah.ai/signup and choose Continue with Google, or sign up with your email. You don't need a card to sign up.

2. Let guided setup build your employee

Guided setup has three short steps:

  • In Your business, add your website so Aivah can read it.
  • In First job, choose Answer customer questions.
  • In Look and voice, pick a character (the face people see) and a voice.

Aivah then opens your first conversation in Companion, where your employee greets you by name.

3. Add your FAQ

Open Employees, open your employee and choose its Knowledge tab. Knowledge is what your employee answers from. Add your FAQ or price list. Its status shows Ready once it has learned it.

4. Add two skills

A skill is step-by-step know-how for one kind of task. On the employee's Skills tab, choose Add skill. Search for a skill that answers from your sources and one that hands over to a person, and add both. Now your employee sticks to your content and knows when to bring in a person. See Teach your employees skills.

5. Check three answers in Chat

Start a New chat with your employee. Ask three questions your FAQ answers and one it doesn't. It answers the first three and offers your contact route for the fourth.

6. Create a web experience

A web experience is your employee, packaged for your website. Open Deploy → Web & embeds and choose Create experience. Name it, then choose Chat bubble and your employee. Add a lead form if you like. In the next step, pick a character and whether visitors start with Text chat or Voice chat. Choose Publish.

7. Add it to your website

When your web experience is live, Links and embed code shows the chat bubble script. Copy it and paste it just before the closing </body> tag on every page. Or paste it into your site builder's footer code setting. See Add Aivah to your website for WordPress, Webflow, Wix, Shopify, Squarespace and Google Tag Manager.

8. Watch it work

Open your site in a private window and ask a question. The conversation appears in Insights → Chat history, and any lead in Insights → Leads.

Good to know

Your website needs the Hobby plan or higher. Voice calls and connected apps come with Starter and up. Compare plans on the pricing page, and upgrade from the account menu whenever you're ready.

Troubleshooting

  • Your employee isn't Ready yet: large files take longer. Open its Knowledge tab to see each source, and retry any that failed.
  • The chat bubble doesn't show: check the code is on the page you're viewing and that you published the site. See Add Aivah to your website.
  • You can't put the experience on your website: that needs the Hobby plan or higher. Upgrade from the account menu.

Next steps

Answer your phone line with the AI receptionist recipe, or bring your employee into meetings.
