This guide is for account holders managing their own profile and sign-in settings. You will make the intended change in Account, then confirm its result without exposing private sign-in information.
Before you begin
- Open the profile menu and confirm you are in the correct account.
- Use a private device or sign out when finished on a shared device.
- Keep passwords out of messages, screenshots, and support requests.
- For account deletion, complete the preparation checklist below before confirming anything.
Steps
1. Open Account
Open the account menu and choose Account.
2. Update your profile picture
Upload a new picture or remove the current picture. Use a clear, square image without sensitive information, then confirm the result shown.
3. Update your full name
Edit the full name and save it separately. Check that the new name appears as intended before leaving the page.
4. Request an email change
Password-based accounts can request an email change. Enter the current password when asked and follow any verification message sent to the old or new address.
Do not assume the email changed until the verification flow is complete and the account shows the intended address.
5. Change or reset your password
For a password-based account, enter the current password, a new password, and its confirmation.
If you cannot remember the current password, use Forgot password from sign-in and follow the reset message sent to your email.
6. Prepare before deleting the account
Account deletion is permanent. Before confirming it:
- Download information you are entitled to keep.
- Remove or hand over important shared experiences.
- Review active phone, Slack, WhatsApp, and connected-tool access.
- Review billing and subscriptions.
- Confirm your organization's record-retention obligations.
Do not assume legally required financial records are deleted simply because the workspace account is removed.
7. Choose Log out on a shared device
Close any active voice, camera, screen, podcast, or recording experience first, then choose Log out.
Expected result
The intended profile or sign-in change is visible in the correct account, or you have signed out successfully. For deletion, the required handover, connection, billing, and retention reviews are complete before you confirm the permanent action.
Status meanings
- An email change is not complete while its required verification is outstanding.
- A password reset is not complete until the new password works at sign-in.
- Account deletion is a permanent action. This article does not define the deletion timing or retention of every record type.
Usage credit impact
This article does not define a usage-credit charge for profile or sign-in changes. Review the current balance in the account menu for supported activity elsewhere.
Information stored or shared
Profile settings include the account name, email, and profile picture. Verification messages can be sent to the relevant email address. This article does not describe how passwords are stored and does not define retention for account or billing records.
Never send a password, reset link, payment detail, private connection value, or full customer record to support.
Limits and permanent actions

- Full-name and other profile changes may save separately.
- Account deletion is permanent.
- Removing the workspace account is not documented here as automatically deleting legally required financial records or data held by connected outside services.
