Eight words come up again and again in Aivah. Here's what each one means, with the guide to read next.
AI employee
An AI employee is an AI you hire to do one job for your business. It might answer website questions, pick up your phone or join your meetings. You give it instructions, your documents, a voice and, if you like, a face.
You'll find your employees in Employees. Older guides call them "agents". See Create your first AI employee.
Character
A character is the face people see when they talk to your employee. Make one from your own photo (a Hero character), or pick a ready-made one. A character never changes what your employee knows.
Characters live in Library → Characters & backgrounds. See Choose characters, backgrounds and voices.
Skills
A skill is step-by-step know-how for one kind of task, such as qualifying a lead or handing over to a person. Turn one on for every new conversation, or give up to six to an employee. You can also pick one for a single message in Chat.
Find skills in Library → Skills. See Teach your employees skills.
Knowledge
Knowledge is what your employee answers from: your website pages, documents and short notes. Add it on the employee's Knowledge tab. When your employee has read everything, its status shows Ready.
See Add knowledge and write instructions.
Credits
Credits are what your employees spend when they chat, talk or create. Each paid plan comes with a monthly allowance of credits, and credit packs top you up. The Free plan includes 3 AI employees and 1,000 credits, added once when you sign up.
See your balance in Plans & credits. See Plans, credits and billing.
Web experience
A web experience is your employee, packaged for visitors. It sets the character, voice, logo and lead form. Visitors meet it in a chat bubble, an embed on one page or a direct link.
Create one in Deploy → Web & embeds. See Create a web experience.
Connected tools
Connected tools are the apps your employees can use, such as Gmail, Google Calendar or HubSpot. Connect an app once and choose exactly what it may do. Then all your employees can use it. Each web experience picks its own apps.
Find them in Library → Connected tools. See Connect apps and choose safe actions.
Insights
Insights is where you read every conversation, lead, quiz result and call. It also shows how many people your employees helped, and which conversations to read first.
Open Insights in the sidebar. See Understand Insights.
A few more
- Chat is where you talk to your employees by text. Companion is where you talk face to face, by voice.
- A Presenter is an employee that teaches from up to 10 PDFs or videos, takes questions and runs a quiz.
- Deploy is where you put an employee to work: your website, your phone line, Slack and WhatsApp, meetings and scheduled tasks.
- Ask Aivah is the helper built into the app. It finds things and sets them up for you, and asks before anything important.
For every other label, and the older names they replaced, see the Aivah glossary.
